OVERVIEW

Texas Wears Condoms is a state-funded nonprofit based in San Antonio, TX. It’s main goal is to reduce the spread of HIV and various STI’s by expanding free condom access, improving condom knowledge, and destigmatizing condom use by shipping condoms, lube, and dental dams to anyone in Texas at absolutely no cost.

PROBLEM

The target audience is made up of people who are young and sexually active, most of which don’t understand the importance of safe sex due to a lack in education.

SOLUTION

After doing some research, I decided that creating imagery that easily shifts between feeling playful and sobering will help the brand reach a fairly broad audience without losing the message.

USER PERSONAS

In order to put myself in the mind of the app users and consumers. I thought about people I know who have introduced me to the brand and its initiative. I think the program reaches a very broad audience and so I chose to open my mind to the perspectives of school teachers, college students, and sex workers.

FEATURE PRIORITIZATION

In order to figure out which features would make the most sense for the app design, I needed to find out which features would add the most to the user’s experience. My feature prioritization map acted similarly to a pro’s and con’s list
